- Minimum age: 17.5 years
- GCE 'N' or 'O' Levels OR
- ITE/NITEC, Higher NITEC OR
- Foundation in Business Studies awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy
- Any other equivalent qualification would be considered on a case by case basis OR
- Matured Entry route: Minimum 18 years old with minimum 1.5 years of working experience
Note: FTMSGlobal entry requirements are communicated via “Years of basic education†i.e. 9years, 10years, 11years or 12years which are equivalent to ‘N’ Level, GCE ‘O’ Level or ‘A’ Level
When prior education is not in the English Language any one of the following is required:
- Professional Certificate of English - Intermediate awarded by FTMSGlobal Academy or equivalent OR
- IELTS 5.5/ TOEFL (paper-based) > 500 or TOEFL (computer-based) > 173 OR
- Any other equivalent English qualifications
Classroom face-to-face lectures and tutorials.
Written Examinations.
All exemptions are subject to academic board approval.

Training in basic food hygiene as well as in industry health and safety issues.
Hospitality and Tourism Finance
A basic knowledge of hospitality costing and control systems.
Quality Management for Hospitality and Tourism Industry
This module explains the importance of quality management in the hospitality industry.
Industrial Attachment (6 months)
This module provides an opportunity for aspiring students to begin their practical learning journey in the hospitality and tourism field. Students will be well equipped with the relevant and necessary abilities to enter and succeed in this dynamic and challenging industry. FTMSGlobal Academy’s philosophy is to provide a student a setting whereby they can put classroom theories into practice and develop an awareness of the workplace culture.
Students have to demonstrate their 21th century skills and attributes, and are fully responsible for the successful completion of the course, for their success at the interview session and securing the internship. Students can secure internship in or outside Singapore. They should work at established hotels, restaurants, etc to gain valuable real-world experience that will be paramount to them becoming the next-generation of the hospitality industry’s elite. FTMSGlobal will assist in the internship through mock interviews and arrange grooming and interview sessions for the individuals. Students who are unable to secure the IA will have to successfully complete a 3-months Research Project.
All 9 Modules must be passed.
Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management by FTMSGlobal Academy.
Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management can progress to the Higher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management by FTMSGlobal Academy or any other equivalent qualifications.
